Bill Mulrooney, a republican and resident of northern Forsyth County has announced his candidacy for the position of Forsyth County Commissioner representing District 4 in the election of 2012.
“District 4 represents 20% of the county’s population, yet the homeowners continuously see their tax money paying for political pet projects in other parts of the county” says Bill, “We need more than a politician who happens to live in our district, we need a representative FOR our district”. He goes on to add “Over the next 5 years we will see growth and expansion in the northern part of the county. If the developers are left unchecked the homeowners will see the unique quality of life we have deteriorate.”
Bill and his wife Beth grew up in Snellville GA and moved to Forsyth County in 2000. They have two children. Their son Joe and his family live locally. Their daughter Andrea received her doctorate from North Georgia and now works with children in Alabama. Bill studied electronic engineering and spent 25 years helping international manufacturers improve their processes. The couple recently started their own small company and now provide web based inventory management to other small businesses. Bill and Beth are well known among local pet owners from their work with various animal welfare charities
Editor’s note: Bill Mulrooney is oriented towards the homeowners and has concern over the motivation of the special interest groups - - - - often called Good Old Boys (aka GOB’s). Homeowners in District 4 will find that Mulrooney will be totally responsive to their needs as well as getting District 4 its share of county benefits. The current commissioner, P Bell appears to side with the GOB’s and his record on County Benefits for D-4 is dismal.
